RBA-GO

The Roll Back AMR Global Outreach Program (RBA-GO), operating under the RBA Initiative, collaborates with local partners and stakeholders worldwide, including ministries, universities, NGOs, and individuals, to mitigate AMR. We work together to catalyze efforts and contain antimicrobial resistance in various countries

Ghana & Uganda

The RBA Initiative is working with the University of Manchester and other collaborators to support the project entitled “Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance Across Dentistry in Sub-Saharan Africa,” which is implemented in Ghana and Uganda.

Leveraging its experience and expertise in engaging the public and communities on AMR, the RBA Initiative is enhancing the co-development of contextualized community and public engagement strategies. Underpinned by behavioral science, these efforts aim to raise awareness and promote behavioral change regarding antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

United Kingdom

In the UK, the RBA Initiative is working with Cardiff University School of Medicine on the project “Bridging Science,Education, and Community in the Fight Against Antimicrobial Resistance”By bridging together communities we spark international conversations and inspire similar initiatives around the world. The project ,supported by the PAR Foundation, connects schools and communities in England,Ireland,Wales and Tanzania, fostering early education on AMR and infection control to inspire responsible health practices across continents, building a united front against AMR.

Through this partnership, we are pioneering a multifaceted approach to combat AMR, blending scientific research, social behaviour and education. Together,we are addressing the urgent need for improved antibiotic stewardship and empowering communities to take an active role in the fight against AMR.

The Gambia

In The Gambia, the RBA Initiative is working with Catch Them Young, a local NGO, to enhance its AMR mitigation strategies. The partnership aims to raise awareness about AMR and promote behavior change through public and community engagement, as well as research on the issue. The interventions are contextualized, including the integration of AMR awareness into programs like Kids Got Talent. The RBA Initiative is leveraging its experience in AMR mitigation to provide technical support and capacity building in this area.
