To mark World Hand Hygiene Day, the RBA Initiative, jointly with SIMAVI Mkaji, organized a symposium themed “Hand hygiene: a key defense in the fight against antimicrobial resistance.” The event brought together healthcare students and other stakeholders.

RBA Initiative participated in the review of the National One Health Strategic Plan conducted on July 2021 in Zanzibar. Being important for addressing different global/national public health threats, One Health remains a key approach in tackling antimicrobial resistance. During this important exercise, RBA Initiative was represented by the Chief Executive Officer.

The symposium brought together stakeholders in the Mpwapwa district. Themed ‘Promoting Rational Use of Antimicrobials in Humans, Animals and Plants; One Health Spirit’ The symposium emphasized the One Health Approach as a key tool to curb antimicrobial resistance. Stakeholders from human, animal, and plant sectors came together to discuss the rational use of antimicrobials.

RBA Initiative participated at the HPSS Pharmacy Workshop and present the topic One Health&Antimicrobial resistance.The event brought together pharmaceutical practitioners from Dodoma,Shinyanga and Morogoro.
