Understanding that school children are not in a position to make their own decisions when it comes to health seeking behaviors, the RBA Initiative empowers parents through the AMR community workshops. The workshops bring together the parents of AMR school club members to gain knowledge about AMR as a whole and to be aware of what their children are learning in AMR school clubs.
The parents AMR workshop sessions involve interactive mode; during the AMR sessions, RBA initiative facilitators engage and guide the parents in the AMR discussions. The goal is to empower the parents with AMR knowledge and to make them AMR ambassadors in the community. Parents show great collaboration and active participation during the sessions, and they were willing to share their experiences with regard to the AMR session.
