Non-compliance with WHO’s 5 Moments for Hand Hygiene among healthcare workers contributes to the spread of drug-resistant pathogens through contaminated hands. We were delighted to share these findings on the first day of Uppsala Antibiotic Days, a multidisciplinary conference bringing together stakeholders and experts from diverse fields to address antimicrobial resistance.
Proper hand hygiene remains the most effective way to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections and curb the spread of drug-resistant organisms.
