The RBA Initiative participated in the AMR Expert Roundtable in Cape Town, co-organized by ISID & Pfizer alongside the 20th International Congress on Infectious Diseases (ICID 2024).
On Day 1, RBA Initiative’s Erick Venant led a session on antimicrobial therapeutics, focusing on how countries can adapt existing guidelines to tackle AMR effectively. With a spotlight on Africa, the roundtable explored AMR challenges in resource-limited settings, identified key research gaps, and will culminate in an expert paper.
Bringing together experts from various fields, this discussion marked another step forward in the fight against antimicrobial resistance.
